Trumpet Fiction: Juliann Garey, John Bowers, and Kat Rodies

Juliann Garey has written original screenplays and television pilots for Sony Pictures, CBS, NBC, Lifetime and Columbia TriStar T.V. As a journalist she has contributed to more than a dozen national publications. She has reviewed films for US, Glamour, More Magazine, CNN and The Village Voice. Long Gone is her first novel. Juliann would like to thank the members of her fiction workshop, her writing partner and most especially Emma, Gabriel andMichael for their continued support in this seemingly endless process.

John Bowers is the author of seven published books of fiction and non-fiction and is a New York CAP's winner for fiction. He has been an editor and magazine writer, and his articles and essays have appeared in, among other places, the New York Times, Harper's and Sports Illustrated. His profile of Janis Joplin in Playboy was one of the last published before shedied. His latest book, Love in Tennessee, from which he will read tonight, is to be published soon. He grew up in Tennessee but has lived in New York for decades.

Kat Rodies is a nurse practitioner, medical writer, and short fictionenthusiast who has been called the ideal person to have with you in a POW camp.
