

Winter Journey, published by Hanging Loose Press, is Tony Towle¹s 12th book of poetry. Hanging Loose Press also published his The History of the Invitation: New & Selected Poems 1963-2000. Towle's Memoir 1960-1963 (Faux Press) tells about his first years as a young poet in New York. He has received a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, among other prizes and honors, and won the Frank O¹Hara Award in 1970, in conjunction with which his first major collection, North, was published by Columbia University Press. Tony Towle was born in New York and has lived in Manhattan, mostly downtown, since 1963.
