Stacey D’Erasmo http://www.staceyderasmo.com/index.html - is the author of three novels. Her first novel, Tea, was selected as a New York Times Notable Book. Her second novel, A Seahorse Year, was named a Best Book of the Year by the San Francisco Chronicle and Newsday and won both a Lambda Literary Award and a Ferro-Grumley Award. Her latest novel, The Sky Below, was published in January 2009. Ms. D’Erasmo’s articles and podcasts have been featured in numerous publications including The New York Times Magazine, Ploughshares, and The Boston Review. She was a Stegner Fellow in Fiction at Stanford University from 1995-1997, and was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in Fiction in 2009. She is the 2010-1 Sovern/Columbia Affiliated Fellow at the American Academy in Rome. She lives in New York City and is an Assistant Professor of Writing at Columbia University.
Nick Burd http://www.nick-burd.com/ - attended the University of Iowa and received his MFA from The New School. His first novel, The Vast Fields of Ordinary, was published in May 2009 to critical acclaim by The New York Times, Publisher’s Weekly, and Kirkus Reviews, among many others. Mr. Burd lives in Brooklyn, NY and works at the international literary and human rights association, PEN American Center.
