Mark McDevitt was born in Dublin and grew up in Sligo, Ireland. A graduate of University College Dublin, he moved to the United States in 1994 after winning the greencard lottery. His work has appeared in The Irish Independent, The Irish Times and The New York Times. His essay “Misery Loves Fried Chicken” was included in the New York Times’ Modern Love anthology. He is currently at work on a new screenplay, a long overdue novel, and several video projects.

Micol Ostow is the author of over 40 books for children, tweens, and teens. After eight years of working as a children’s book editor, she received her MFA in Writing for Children from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Now she spends her days writing, teaching writing, thinking about writing, and occasionally even reading.
