J. Cain Sills was a crime writer and editor for the Philadelphia DailyNews before working the last decade in Newark at The Star-Ledger. Sheholds has an undergraduate degree in anthropology and earns her MFA this spring. Joanne has finished her first novel, THE WATERS OF PARADISE.
Evan James Roskos was published in Granta.com’s New Voices online feature and has a piece forthcoming in StoryQuarterly. He lives in NJ with his wife and their slightly overweight pitbull.
Besides being a Rutgers MFA student, Gaganpreet Kaur is an English teacher at Richmond Hill High School in New York. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Queens College (CUNY).
Melissa Aranzamendez was born in Manila and moved to Jersey City at fourteen. She is currently working on a collection of short stories about overseas Filipino workers and immigrants.
Ryan McIlvain’s fiction has appeared in The Paris Review, The Chattahoochee Review, The Potomac Review, and other magazines. He is currently at work on a novel.
