Peter Krass is a teacher at the Writers Studio, a member of the WS master class, and a poet whose work has been rejected by some of the country’s most prestigious literary journals. A former editor at BusinessWeek and Inc., Peter currently works as a freelance editor, writer and consultant. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and daughter.

Sheila Welch is a graduate of New York University Tisch School of the Arts where she majored in theatre.  She is a founding member of The Atlantic Theatre Co and worked with David Mamet She has produced radio and theatre in both New York, Chicago, and Vermont.  After leaving the theatre for the solitude of writing she joined the Writers Studio and is today a poet and one of the Advanced Poetry Teachers at the Writers Studio. Her poetry has appeared in Skidmore Penthouse and Offcourse.

Cynthia Weiner work has appeared in Open City, Epiphany, Ploughshares, and Pushcart Prize, and is forthcoming in The Sun.  She is Assistant Director of The Writers Studio.

Lesley Dormen’s short stories have been published in magazines and journals that include The Atlantic Monthly, Ploughshares, Five Points, Open City, and Glimmer Train. Several have received Honorable Mention in Best American Short Stories.  She is a longtime contributor and columnist for many national magazines, and her essays have appeared in anthologies that include Unholy Ghost: Writers on Depression. Dormen’s novel in stories, The Best Place to Be, was published in 2007 by Simon & Schuster.  She has received residences from The MacDowell Colony and Yaddo, and in 2008 was awarded a grant from the New York Foundation for the Arts.  She is Associate Director of The Writers Studio.
